Media Darlings
Beverly Cornell and Lori Williams are making headlines this week.
Beverly was featured at the homepage at Business Week in an article about social media and corporate twittering.
I recently had a similar experience. I was at a Wayne State University Event and was twittering about former Mexican President Vicente Fox's speech that I was attending at the University. All of a sudden a tweet came from Wayne State University. Kinda felt like big brother was watching but realized the power of the two way conversation that this creates. There are certainly folks monitoring their brands as is my company Iterotext Translation Services.
Lori's smiling face graced the Paparazzi section of the Oakland Business Review.
Nice to see MCC members getting their names out there!

Thanks Charlie for the shout out. It was just fun to know that people actually care about the comments made on articles for Business Week. :-)
Congratulations, Beverly & Lori! Great to see MCC beauties in the news!
Beverly's comment about the tweet from Wayne State highlights an important point. In the social media world, nothing is "off the record" or "just a casual comment." As Beverly points out, it can open new worlds and new conversations. At the same time, it can open that proverbial can of worms if we are not mindful of what we say, how we say it, and conscious of who might be listening... so speak your mind, but mind your speech.
