Sales Rep needed for Chicago, IL company
In this key role you will provide all the elements necessary to successfully promote company's Energy/Green solutions to commercial customers. You will interface regularly with high-level decision makers. Calling on K-12/Education, ESCOs, Building Management Integrators, Design Build Contractors, Facilities Managers, property owners, tenants and more, will challenge you daily! Creating long term relationships that convert to opportunities and closing sales will take your career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and successfully build relationships with the top customers to grow the Energy/Green Business
- Educate potential customers about company's unique ability to control the "total light environment" and address issues related to Energy, Green Building, LEED and sustainability requirements
- Become the technical expert and resource with in your market. Work with local utilities and energy centers, consult on job layouts, creating presentations, proposals and detailed specifications that convert successfully to orders
- Identify opportunities to expand the market for lighting controls
- Actively pursue opportunities to network and get involved with organizations which support education and events throughout the energy and green community
- Develop and manage the company's aggregator service plan, do energy analysis and ROI calculations that will ad value to the sales process
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (BSEE , BSME or Business Degree)
- 5 or more years experience selling systems and representing a solution product
- Experience working closely with customers in the Energy/Lighting industry
- A proven track record of success identifying new market opportunities, managing the sales and specification process that lead to orders
Experience and success interfacing with decision makers throughout the job process such as architects, engineers, designers, contractors, insides sales, integrators, facility managers and property owners.
