Meet. Understand. Connect. Where do you network online? Rick Weaver asks good questions. "With so many online social networks out there, how do you choose which ones to use and more importantly, how does it help your business?"
There's a great discussion on this topic happening online right now.
MCC members have good answers. Michael Haltman likes seven. Jennifer Reese chooses just a few. Terry Bean has his big four. Henry Joshua offers his list of selection criteria. But the opinion we're really waiting on is yours! How do you use social networks most effectively?

Hi! Weighing in, I love LinkedIn for the breadth and depth of the network, the minimal effort you need to expend to expand, and the ever-growing research capabilities and discussion links (lots of people, lots of brainpower, lots of tips). Facebook keeps me in touch with the smiling faces of some of my friends and acquaintances; and I enjoy signing on just to envy the fantastic weekend and/or evening plans of my more energetic connections!
(Also, where else but on Facebook, could Shannon Paul and Beverly Cornell continuously educate me on Social Media 2.0; or could Amber LaCroix recruit me for the wonderful group: "Even I Have More Foreign Policy Experience Than Sarah Palin"...LOL).
Regionally, Motor City Connect Rocks; and I use the Automation Alley and MCWT (Michigan Council of Women In Technology) Groups on LinkedIn ----- as well as some of the great, national and global groups there.
Not yet converted to the mobile networking ---- so am still resisting Twitter (but probably not for long...LOL).
