When asked what made him so successfull Thomas Edison said: "I started where others left off". How many times have you been ready to throw in the towel and taken that one extra step and found that it was the turning point that opened up a whole new World of opportunities for you? Just a thought.

There is a "famous" story about a prospector during the gold rush who worked for years without striking gold, so he gave up, sold his claim to another man, and headed back east. The new owner hit a motherload within his first 10 feet of mining - - and became a bajillionaire.
Thomas Edison's life story is really interesting, and a true testimony to not giving up - and so is yours, Duane!
"If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves." - Edison
Edison credited his success to hard word, perseverance and breaking the rules. I'm curious, what are your tips and tricks for getting things done? What are your big picture goals? Are you living up to your potential?
Since I posed the questions, I guess should throw my answers into the mix.
My favorite technique for getting things done is the GTD process from David Allen. It's a work in progress.
My big picture goals (for work) include:
I'm a work in progress. I'm proud of what I've achieved so far but I have a LONG way to go to live up to my potential. The future is bright.
You're well on your way to all of those, Charlie!
My "top 3" big picture goals for work are:
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." (T.S. Eliot)
"Only thos who dare to fail greatly canever achieve greatly." (Robert F. Kennedy)
Hey Linda great story. How many zero's in bajillion?
Have a great week!
Troy
Thanks, Troy! According to the web, there are an unspecified number of zero's in a bajillion. I was actually surprised google recognized it as a "real" word!
Happy Tuesday!
"Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, more intellegently" - Henry Ford.
If you look at a failure as an opportunity to learn, and grow from the experience, eventually you will eliminate the roadblocks to success. Just a thought.
