The MCC Blog, March 13 event/#313DLove and Next Meeting

Motor City Connect has done a LOT of good for our community over the years. I started to list some of the highlights and it would make this a much longer message. Let's just say we've had fun helping others achieve their goals while doing our best to make Detroit a little brighter.

Along the lines of brightness, one initiative still stands very strong. It's the #313DLove movement. It actually started way back in 2010 as #100KDlove and was part of Blood, Sweat and Gear week. The idea was pretty simple...try and get 100,000 Tweets sent about what people love about Detroit.  Fun, right?

March 13, 2015- Save the Date

Fast forward to March 13, 2015 and we are putting on a 3 ring circus (not literally). It will start off with a "March" around the Charles Wright Museum at 10:00 a.m. Imagine hanging out with a bunch of people who delight in the progress our city is making. The actual event, full of great speakers doing great things in our area, takes place from 1-5. There will also be an after party. And of course, it will once again be our goal to break twitter at 3:13 on March 13 with the #313DLove message. So there are three easy ways for you to participate.

MCC Live 

The next MCC Live meeting will be February 24 in Royal Oak. We will be hosting the "Extended ASK kicking" event. The primary discussion will focus on making sure your ASK is in good shape. There will be some training and opportunity to practice. This will be a great event for learning how to assist one another.
