The Power of Goals and Objectives

I was in my profile page and realized that only 14% of us have decided to share goals or objectives, and was reminded of a story in Keith Ferrazzi's book, "Never Eat Alone.

He talked about a case study at (I believe) Harvard - where although there were some differences, you have a college class of the top of the top of students, and what was it that made some people successful - and others not?

Well here's an interesting tidbit... and I am paraphrasing...

Most of the students did not set goals for themselves after college.  Those folks did all right.  Not bad.

However, there was a group of those students who set non-specific goals; they made twice the money of the folks in the above group.

Now, there was a third group - who knew exactly what they wanted - and they made double the money of the people who made twice the money!

So set those goals.. no matter how you do it.
