Looking for Senior Project Mangers
Required skills/experience:
High energy and ability to deal with complex, stressful work environments
Demonstrable commitment to their project (ownership and accountability)
Strong business acumen (specifically assessing business readiness and mitigation plans)
Very strong communications ability
Proven experience managing large multimillion dollar projects that have significant business implications
A "take charge" approach and desire to drive a project
Successful record of Project Work Plan (resource, cost, and time) management
Experience with projects that have multiple stakeholders
Ability to manage engagements with "executive level" visibility and interaction
Technology capabilities are less important, but the PM must be able to work with and gain the confidence of technologists
Must have the discipline and rigor to optimally use the project management tools (e.g. MS Plan Enterprise)
Must have a commitment to produce and deliver high quality project plans, status updates and reports
Solid presentation skills
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of legacy systems
Familiar with system development life cycles (SDLCs), such as waterfall and RUP
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
PMP certification preferred
Duties / Responsibilities:
Facilitates and helps in obtaining, reviewing and documenting business requirements
Works with the different business areas to prepare the project for implementation, including coordinating communications, process changes and training.
Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing complex application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology.
May manage multiple projects of moderate size concurrently.
Help develop strategic plans for projects of high business complexity.
Develop detailed plans and schedules using MS Project.
Monitor project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule.
Assist in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies.
Coach and mentor individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders.
Present project-related presentations for executive-level leadership
Adhere to Project Management Office policies, procedures and methodologies.
Possess thorough knowledge of PMI standards and terminology (including PMBOK)
Direct and frequent involvement in sponsor, client, and customer relations to ensure that service expectations are met
Ensures established project budget and schedule are met
