Job Title: Engineer

Reports To: Vice President

Department: Engineering

Overview: Engineers at PAT provide support to our construction and trade operations while seeking to obtain new work for the team and completing competitive bids.

Job responsibilities:

1. Evaluate solicitations, RFQs, and tenders and recommend PAT's opportunity for success.
2. Prepare bids for submission.
3. Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
4. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
5. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
6. Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
7. Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and/or other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
8. Identify business opportunities for domestic or international construction or procurement.
9. Other assignments as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements:
1. Engineering degree, PE and/or LEED a plus.
2. Ability to read and analyze RFQs, RFIs, and Tenders.
3. Ability to convert currencies and an understanding of international measurements (metric system).
4. Understanding of construction plans, estimating, and processing preferred.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Access. Experience with Office 2010 preferred.
6. Familiarity with Skype.

Compensation:
1. Salary plus profit sharing.
