Open Source Electric Car
Hello,
I'd like to share my project at www.IndieGoGo.com/ZWheelz
It is about designing a simple electric kit trike/car/scooter with a process of rapid prototyping using an inexpensive desktop CNC router and 3D printer.
This project would enable others to open small business producing kits that could be assembled in one week and provide two-seat, highway-capable, battery-electric vehicles that would be simple to maintain and upgrade with options for economical or performance drive systems and battery packs.
Instead of one company producing large volumes of vehicles and shipping around the world, this can create a network of independent local micro manufacturers and a global community of open source designers.
Please pass it along!

Hello John,
To follow progress, keep watching the IndieGoGo campaign at www.indiegogo.com/zwheelz
If I get funding to build the prototype, I will post everything there. If not, I will be closing my shop and looking for paid work. I have put a lot of my money and time to get this far but I can't continue on my own.
Thanks for the interest,
Gary
