Increase the Peace- Wishes for a wonderful holiday season

I just sent this blast:

My good friend Keith Zendler, of Peoplemovers fame, sent his holiday note earlier today and signed off with the very popular "Peace on Earth". What a dream world that would be to live in. It got me thinking...how can we achieve Peace on Earth? The answer is really very simple.

FOCUS ON ACHIEVING PEACE IN YOU

If each and every one of us held fast to the idea of peace within us, we would soon experience peace around us. Peace begins inside of you. Once you have it, you can share it. And peace shared becomes peace multiplied.

Care to try something new?

Invariably, conversation in the coming week will turn to recent tragedies. People will discuss such things as: mass murder, wars, gun control and tv/video game violence. Do yourself and those around you a favor? Re-frame the conversation.

Talk about the Power of Peace. Explain how it begins inside of each of us and the value of love over hate (which is really just fear). When you are full of love, there is no room for fear, hate or any other emotion.

Tell people that regardless of how dark a room is, the smallest candle will illuminate it. Conversely no matter how light a room is, no amount of darkness can make it darker. 

Will people laugh at you and mock you for sharing this? Maybe. Perhaps they will tell you that you need to stop looking at the world through rose colored lenses. I hear that a lot. My response is always "Maybe you need to borrow my glasses".

The world is waking up (albeit slowly) to a much better way. That way is lit with peace and love.

My wish for you and yours is that you find and stay on this path this holiday season, into the new year and beyond.
