Good Afternoon, Connectors -

Sometimes cleaning out your inbox on Monday morning can be quite a chore. As such, the email formerly know as the MCC Monday Morning Memo will now be called the MCC Monday Mid-day Memo. Best off all, the acronym stays the same—welcome to the MCC M3.

Here’s today’s scoop:

 - 548 ain’t nothin’ but a number

 - The best tasting networking in Detroit

 - Power up

 - The Secret relieved

 - Hot gossip about the group

 - Someone you should meet.

Sure, MCC is a grassroots networking organization. We just didn’t realize the roots were soaking in MircleGro.

MCC flew past the 500 member mark late last week and we’re already half way to 600 members – Congratulations! It’s exciting to see our shared values of optimism, abundance and prosperity flourishing here at MCC.

When groups hit that critical mass, momentum takes over and fuels further growth. Is “Big Mo” sitting in our corner? At our last MCC Live lunch, a few members were predicting how fast we’d hit our next milestone. I won’t be surprised when we welcome our 1,000 member on May 1st.

The only thing I like better than a hot networking event is a hot networking event with an overflowing bowl of deliciousness fresh from the grill. BD’s Mongolian BBQ in Royal is host to tomorrow’s effective alternative to the ordinary networking meeting. We’ll be cooking up stir-fry and trading referrals.

Join MCC as we come together to celebrate successes, solve challenges and connect with new people on a deeper level.  Get there early, we always run out of seats at the Royal Oak meetings.

BD’s Mongolian BBQ is located in downtown Royal Oak on Main Street between 4th Street and 5th Street. Lunch costs $20.00 ($13 for lunch and tip, $7 for MCC) Cash is preferred – it’s hard to run 50 credit cards!

Looking to get more out of MCC? Our very own Henry Joshua is hosting a MCC/CollectiveX  training immediately following MCC Live tomorrow. Come and learn how to best use CX so that you can become a “power user”.

Please bring your own laptop. If you don’t have one, email Henry Joshua and we will try to arrange something.

Double Super Top Secret Event We've lifted the veil on the Double Super Top Secret Event for April 17th.

New York Times best-selling author and the featured entrepreneur from the movie/book The Secret, John Assaraf will be sharing his ideas for growing your business in any market. Also on the bill, turn-around expert Murray Smith, networking big brain Terry Bean and marketing whiz Charlie Wollborg

You can learn all of the details online at http://www.motorcityconnect.com/rise.html and register for the event. Don't dilly dally. Seating is very limited and this is a one time event.

OK. I may have over sold this headline. I don't have any dirt on Terry Bean, but there are a lot of interesting conversations you can listen in on at our website. Just click the "Discussions" button. The only thing better than eavesdropping is joining in the conversation yourself.

It’s tough to know everyone in MCC.  So we’re introducing you to a couple of MCC members you should get to know better. This week, we interview Rachel Williams and Melissa Emanuel in our Someone you should meet forum.
