Full of thanks- A thanksgiving lesson for attracting what you seek
I just sent this blast:
Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite time of year. Sure the food is great. And of course it's wonderful to gather with close friends and family, but it's more than that. It's a time when most everyone in America sits back and really counts their blessings.
Many families hold traditions similar to ours in that we go around the room and say what we're grateful for. In fact, we did that at yesterday's MCC meeting. What's particularly powerful is that when we are thankful for something and express it through thought we send out very positive energy into the universe.
Our thoughts are energy (technically EVERYTHING is energy) and magnetic. This mental energy is designed to find other energy that matches it's frequency. When it does, this new energy is "attracted" and brought back to us. Like thoughts attract like energy. This is why when you start your day in a bad mood, more bad things happen to you. Similarly, it's why you have days when you feel like the luckiest being on the planet. This is the Law of Attraction at it's core.
Focus on what you want. Be overly mindful to focus on what you want, not on what you don't want. Act grateful for it as if you already have it. When you do and take appropriate action, it will come to you. Dr. DiMartini said it best in the hit movie "The Secret" (click that link for over 70 thought grenades from the movie) when he stated "What you think about and thank about, you bring about".
Living your ideal life begins with knowing what you want and is accomplished by keeping an attitude of gratitude. You are a magnificent creator and are designed to live an abundant life. It is within your power and domain to do just that. The more you tell others and the universe what you want and help others get what they seek, the more abundant your life will be. Providing a vehicle to do this is one of the main reasons MCC was created.
I am forever grateful that you have chosen to be part of MCC. From our family to yours, here's to a wonderful, safe and joyous thanksgiving.
Do let us know what we can do to make this coming year your best one yet.
Happy Thanksgiving and Go Lions!!-
Terry
PS- When searching for my notes on the Secret, I found this post by Keith Stonehouse where he labeled Kimberly Kassner MCC's best kept secret. Take a look at this video of Kimberly teaching us how to learn more effectively. You'll love it!
