NEED Promotional Products Research/ Customer Service Representative

Troy-based Marketing Company looking to hire an experienced customer service re/researcher in promotional products industry.  Prefer someone with industry experience preferably within the automotive industry and who is resourceful, creative, comfortable with presentations and is a team player. 

Full time opening

Pay: $40k

Benefits: After 90 days

The research side of this position will entail:

• Sales support, including developing proposals and quotations for new and existing clients.


• Research new, old, and custom promotional products, using search engines SAGE, ESP, PPAI, and ASI.


• Create PowerPoint presentations for inside sales and customized product proposals.


• Adept in Adobe Illustrator and/or Corel Draw to create and develop art.


• Maintain relationships with preferred vendors and develop ties with new vendors.


• Communicate with vendors to maintain consistent and accurate pricing of product quotations.


• Schedule vendor product presentations to stay aligned and informed of the latest promotional product ideas and trends.


• Set-up, maintain and manage an up-to-date vendor product library.

The customer service side of this position will entail:

• Good phone skills and accurate order entry in company's product promotion portal.


• Address customer complaints and order issues.


• Timely follow-up of all orders, including accuracy, art proofs, pricing and on-time delivery.


• Constant collaboration with vendors on meeting all aspects of clients' needs.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as company's proprietary order entry and tracking software.

 Remuneration:

• Salaried position and 40-hour work week.


• Medical benefits after 90 days.


• Eight paid holidays annually, in addition to one-week vacation after six months and two weeks for each year thereafter.


• Three paid personal days annually.
