What does your e-mail address say about you?

About 1/2 of you (thusfar) are aware that I am e-mailing you individually today.  As I have gone through the list, I was reminded about the importance of maintaining a professional image.

I understand that many of us use our personal address on MCC for fear of choking our company's mail server ;-)  Consider that many providers "give" away e-mail addresses.  It's okay to have more than one and use them for a specific purpose.

For instance, if you are looking for a job consider how: sexxxydude@hotmail.com may be received.  Not quite as well as seriouslyseekingemployment@gmail.com may be considered.  It may also be be a good idea to use the type of work you do.  I know a guy who used to recruit bankers...His email address??? bankrecruiter@yyy.com.  Pretty clever.

Just something to keep in mind.  A wise company once said, "Image is everything"...
