What Are YOU Feeding YOUR Mind?

So I went to the doctor in October 2010. I had annual physical. Needless to say and I won't pen any numbers having to do with my cholesterol or triglycerides, but I will tell you that for a 38 year old male, they were off the charts BAD! I had always been a person kept themselves (or that that I had) in pretty good shape. With the support of great family, friends and phenomenal girlfriend I'm on the right track to having fabulous health. Now I noticed that when I stopped putting ‘junk' in my body all of the aches and pains and low energy went away. I also eliminated most of the red meat and am eating about 60% gluten free. I feel like a well oiled machine!

The same holds true for your ‘mental side' of life as well. Every day in my business I have to be in a stellar mindset. We are service oriented and if you are in a low energy exuding from you, people will notice it. I've stumbled my way thru conversations and just hoping they would end and the client would still want to move forward. I knew I had to do something to make sure I was always in an optimal mental state of mind.

Just as transforming your body, you must use much of the same techniques to transform your mind. What you feed it is critical. And that includes separating yourself from things you may have become comfortable with. This can include what you watch on TV, what you do for a living and the people you hang out with and. There are so many negative seeds planted by the entertainment industries and the news that will start roots in your mind and give you a negative attitude and when this happens a negative mindset can set in. And just like feeding your body the wrong foods and elements can lead to cancer and other diseases; the same can happen to your mind that can lead to serious issues such as depression and disconnection from society.

Our motto at The Ask4Ferguson team is to ‘Get Uncomfortable'. We know that doing things that we know is good for us and hard to do will lead to greatness.

There are great things you can do to feed your mind, such as subliminal programming and great books to read (and no, they do not have all be self help books). Just ask and I can point you in the right direction here.

So what are you feeding your mind?............

What an awesome post, Scott!

First, congrats on taking control of your body.

I learned your message firsthand in 2009/2010 while I was fighting cancer. Converted to an 90% organic, 70-80% raw food diet and began taking triple servings of JuicePlus+ (whole food in a capsule)...

AND, as my MCC friends can attest, made a practice of being positive, upbeat, and peaceful throughout surgery and 9 months of chemotherapy. Those two things (diet and attitude) made all the difference - my doctor couldn't understand why I didn't experience any chemo side effects other than fatigue and hair loss... but I know why, and so do you, based on your post.

Congrats to you and your company for taking mind food seriously!

Linda
