Position: Member Services Assistant
Reports to: Executive Director
Employment Classification: Part Time/ Non-exempt (30 hours/week)
Summary: Assists with general member services duties including programs & events.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, education:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of business people and volunteers
- Computer literate with advanced efficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal & written communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of general office equipment and operations
- Own reliable transportation with ability to do office errands as assigned
- Flexible schedule to attend meetings and functions as assigned
- Excellent attendance record with minimal absenteeism
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Familiarity of social media including twitter, facebook and LinkedIn
- Some familiarity with WordPress is preferred but not required
Job Description:
- Maintain accuracy of membership database
- Maintain member files as well as member changes
- Support front desk operations as needed
- Provide support to Membership Director, Executive Director and Board of Directors
- Assist with chamber's programs and events
- Set-up committee meetings and in-house programs including room set-up as assigned.
- Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees and boards of directors.
- Compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings.
- Coordinate and direct office services, such as records, budget preparation assistance, personnel issues, and housekeeping/maintenance, to aid Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Analyze organizational operating practices or procedures
- Answer customer or public inquiries and direct inquiries to appropriate parties
- Support Executive Director in solicitation of sponsorship and volunteer support
- Update social media sites and portions of website
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $10.00-$12.00 per hour
