My love letter to and request for a better Detroit

I was thinking about how truly connected we are. So much so that it doesn’t take long for the positive energy of a few to spread to the many.

There’s a lot of people who love Detroit. Even more who have been influenced by her. We lead the world when it comes to moving people.

What about moving us? What drives Detroit forward? How do we move from where we are now to where we need to be as a regional community?

We have defined forward in several different ways, but the first step is always the same. Love. We need to change the energy here. Now.

It starts with showing our city the love it deserves. Love doesn’t care what color your skin is or what side of 8 mile you live on. Poor people have as much love to share as rich people. Love exists on the line just like it does in the board room.

Love is powerful. Love is positive. Love creates changes in perception. Love kicks fear and angers asses without breaking a sweat. You know why? Cuz love is so cool love doesn’t even have to fight.

What if we could get 100,000 people to focus their love on Detroit for even a minute?

it would send a positive ripple through this area that would turn into a tidal wave. How great would that be to ride?
