Okay, we have confirmation of our responsibilities for BSG this week!
This Saturday we'll be helping Operation: Kid Equip in Ferndale, distributing backpacks to needy children. They will get to start the school year off with the supplies necessary to succeed.
Starting tomorrow, we'll be helping Blight Busters. Thursday and Friday we'll be painting murals (need those creative types), cutting grass, removing trash, and boarding up windows, all to create a safe place where children can play. (See the "before" pictures at the links below.) This will be light work compared to Saturday, when we will tear down a house in the Riverdale neighborhood to stop the cancer before it grows.

So sorry we can't join in this year! I am taking my daughter to college tomorrow in South Carolina. My whole family enjoyed it last year....have a great time!

What hours are you in need of help? Can't take any time away from the work day, but possibly later or on Saturday?

Where in Ferndale are you distributing supplies for OKE on Saturday and what time? Do you still need volunteers? I can post something on the Chamber's facebook page to put a call out for help if you need.

Sorry I was at Blight Busters today.
At the Kulick Center. 10 - 2 pm. I believe Menachem is all set. But thank you for your support & it was nice to see you Monday!
