What are the ways you advertise your business?

I pick up business cards and check out their website and then also look them up on LinkedIn.  Then I send them a sample of my product usually with their business card image included and pertinent information as to how they can utilize my product/service at their company.

Got some pretty large clients this way so it works for me!!

I like your idea. I also find myself looking people up on LinkedIn (and other sites I belong to, like Facebook), after I have received their business card. I send them a follow up email right away, if not the same day the next day. I include an attachment showing my business information.

I really think this discussion can help people get more ideas on what to do to get "their business name out there".
