If you are a startup, how do you manage the business of keeping your employees profitable and happy?

I have been targeting start ups and been getting the word out about how I can help. The most typical response is, "Not now," or "I am too busy to talk about this call me back in 6 months." I am newer to sales and struggling with getting the right person to give me 10 minutes of their time to explain the savings, risk reduction and the benefit of happy employees helping grow your business. Anyone out there have suggestions? I do a lot of cold calling!

Being a part of the Motor City Connect events is a great way to introduce yourself to a lot of people. Also joining a chamber of commerce and being involved in their networking groups. In both cases bring your calendar with you and set up 1-on1s with people that you want to connect with.
