I just sent this blast:

Every now and again I like to wax poetic about life. Books that touch on spiritual topics and Universal Laws really get my energy flowing and my fingers tapping. The second book I ever read in that genre was "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman back in 1992 (the first was "Illusions" by Richard Bach but we're not talking about that now ;-)

I liked that the story was about a guy who met someone who absolutely changed the way he thought about the life. He opened his eyes to all that goes on all the time. In fact at one point Dan says "There is nothing going on" when he is asked to be fully present to the moment. His teacher touches his arm (as if to give him the gift of clarity) and at that moment Dan is able to slow down and sense all that is happening around him. His teacher, who he calls Socrates reminds him "There is never nothing going on".

I wrote a blog piece about this sometime ago that I reread and reposted last night. If you are interested in seeing what my 3 rules of life are and understanding what I mean by "momentary mastery" please check it out HERE.

Want more exposure for your business? Ari Fischman of Simplified Benefits did and he's going to get it! Not only did he and his company receive mention in over 10,000 e-mail boxes yesterday (and another 4500 now) Ari will have two minutes on stage to talk about his business in front of a 200+ person audience. If you think that would help your business, click here for DETAILS ON SPONSORSHIP.

Blood, Sweat and Gear update

I had a great meeting with a promotional partner/event planner (Arzika) yesterday. As we were talking about the list of things to work on, we discussed Blood, Sweat and Gear. At one point that asked me about the "Sweat" and who Blightbusters is and what they do. Fortunately, I had my phone and could show them video of the house we tore down last year. They were blown away. And then we started talking about sponsors and media and how to do this right and it was my turn. In fact they had such a GREAT IDEA that I got tears in my eyes. I can't wait for August!

You can attend the BSG10 committee meeting Thursday June 10 at 11:30 at Meriwethers in Southfield by RSVPing HERE.

MCC Live Commerce is next Friday, June 18. Check the calendar for details.

I own, and frequently watch, the movie based on the book Terry refers to.  It is a constant source of inspiration to live my life in the moment.  Something that I and many of my friends frequently forget.

The past is gone and can not be changed...the future is unsure and constantly in flux.  Live life now or miss life forever!!

Thanks for the post Terry.
