Job Description:

This is a senior-level professional engineering role which
requires the individual to develop procedures and direct analyses for scaling
up chemical processes; and assist with the preparation of cost estimates and
specifications. This person will also contribute to the development of new
products and processes. This role offers the opportunity for the qualified,
self-directed candidate to assume a management role within the company.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Scale-up from lab to pilot plant and
  manufacturing for commercialization of ceramic powders for a variety of
  commercial applications. Experience with aqueous sol-gel processing methods,
  dewatering, filtration, centrifuging, solvent extraction and recycling,
  calcination, milling, and packaging of ceramic powders.


• 
  Conduct process and equipment analysis,
  simulation, optimization, and modification. Estimate capital and manufacturing
  costs for purposes of justifying project economics. Provide technical support
  for the construction, commissioning and startup of projects.


• 
  Identify and implement projects to reduce cost,
  energy usage, and to improve productivity. Use statistical process control
  methods and/or Six Sigma tools for driving process optimization activities.


• 
  Manage technicians in manufacturing and lab.

Requirements:

• 
  BS degree, MS preferred, in Chemical Engineering
  and 10 years of direct experience.


• 
  Very strong "hands-on" mechanically and
  chemically oriented process-engineering skills.


• 
  Excellent knowledge of unit operations and
  process/equipment calculations and design.


• 
  Background with experimental design (DOE) and
  data analysis, preferably using statistical techniques.


• 
  Ability to communicate effectively with senior
  management, investors, customers and regulators.


• 
  Six Sigma and ISO 14001 knowledge highly
  desirable.

Technologies is a recent start up utilizing technologies invented by the
EVP/CSO at Michigan
State University.
The product will serve broad markets with its largest application being a high
performance filler in various plastic materials and composites. InPore
Technologies expects to find significant sales in green energy applications
such as wind power as well as in many traditional industries such as electrical
and electronics, automotive and aeronautics.

Compensation:

Pay
