Marketing to Your Existing Database
I attended a great Birmingham / Bloomfield Women's Council of Realtor's Event yesterday morning with a panel of the top producing Agents in our area...actually some are top 1% in the nation! It was an open forum panel discussion over breakfast with over 80 in attendance taking notes, asking questions, and most importantly learning what does and what doesn't work for those out there making waves despite the current market conditions.
The 2 BIG things that all of the agents on the panel agreed upon was that the key to their success was:
1. Personal Service over everything!
2. Marketing to your existing client base continuously!
I have practiced these in my career since day one but, it was sad to see those out there that were frantically writing this down and acting shocked that it was that simple - that cut and dry to be a good agent. Now, don't get me wrong here - of course there were many other topics covered and keys to success but these were the 2 BIG ones that stood out throughout the dicussion over and over.
The discussion of networking came up as well and throughout the panel - they all agreed again on 2 things:
1. They do not do any networking groups / events unless through their chamber once in awhile or within their Realtor spheres.
2. Social Media has been a great way to connect with contacts from the past but they do not use it as their mainstay for marketing / networking.
What are your thoughts on this?
