Get Your Hands Dirty for HAVEN

Can't wait for the feel of rich dark earth between your fingers and
toes? Excited to see the first plants of spring poke their little green
heads out of the ground? Want to make a difference in the community?

HAVEN is starting a new community garden project - increasing food
security and access to healthy (organically grown) food, and increasing
the beauty and ecological integrity of our space.

The biggest needs right now are donations of mulch, organic compost, sod removal and
roto-tilling equipment/labor. If you know anyone that can donate the
stuff or the muscle, please pass this message on.

HAVEN also needs people willing to keep the garden alive through the
growing season. Most community gardens die (literally) in July because
people would rather be at the beach or off having fun. Who do you know
who will step up, and join ME (Linda Angér) in growing
carcinogenic-free food for the community?
