Ever notice how the right book can fill you with energy, great new ideas and inspire you toward greatness?

What if we could share that with one another? Do you think it might work to make Detroit a better place? I do!

Let's create specific meetings around the idea of the #mccbookswap (this is written as such for our friends who use twitter).

Here's the gameplan:

Grab 1-5 books that you would be comfortable never seeing again. Write your name and a way to be contacted (mobile phone, e-mail address, twitter handle) on the inside cover. Bring the book(s) to a meeting that is tagged #mccbookswap. As part of your ASK, you will be given the opportunity to share 5 seconds on how this book (only 1 per ASK) has impacted your life. If you're feeling randy, you can write that on the inside cover as well.

Rules-

* You can take only as many books as you brought.

* You agree to sign and date the books you pick up and to "pay them forward" within 30 days.

* Added bonus to those who take the time to come here and write about the book(s) they read.

Al Curtiss of the Insights Group recently shared a quotation with me that went something like this: - "The only difference between you today and the person you will be five years from now are the new people with whom you associate and the books you read". It's the goal of MCC and most networking associations to help you improve both.

I would like to thank Linda Anger for being my muse on this Detroit area changing game plan. The implementation of which starts NOW.

On the off chance you have books you would like to share but can't come to the meetings, put them on the board here and we will figure out how to swap them as we go.
