Coney dogs are a Michigan thing. In fact, outside the state, coney dogs are simply called "Michigans" after the state of their origin.
But it seems like every person you meet has a different coney island they hold high on a pedestal. There are neighborhood rivalries, cross town arguments and even topping disputes.

I think they are all great but the fundraising kit that you get from American Coney is great. We have had them in the past for our hockey teams and you get the dogs, coney sauce, buns and a sweet onion in a pizza-type box. Tastes great ANYTIME of the year.
