Serenity Services seeking Executive Director
Serenity Services is a non-profit agency based in Detroit that promotes social change and justice working towards the elimination of domestic and sexual violence, and provides individualized direct services, education, support, and advocacy for individuals an families affected by violence in Metro-Detroit.
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree required, (Masters Degree preferred) in Business Administration or Organizational Management or Human Services. Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience in fiscal management, budgeting, and fund development and experience working with non-profits in an urban setting preferred. Proficient in word processing and basic computer applications. Ability to create and maintain relationships with community partners and staff necessary.
Key Functions:
1. Oversee agency fiscal operations, including the development of agency and program budgets and cash reserve.
2. Responsible for major grant and gift development.
3. Oversee and participate in the implementation of new programs and service delivery.
4. Manage staff and oversee Human Resource functions of the agency
5. Develop and maintain community relationships in an effort to strengthen the community's coordinated response to domestic violence. Maintain a positive attitude and work to foster teamwork among staff in the fulfillment of Serenity Service's mission
