My friend Barry Demp leads his executive coaching clients through an interesting and fun exercise. On a blank sheet of paper, he has them list five things they find beautiful - no rules, no clarifying statements - just start writing.
The question leads to deeper discussions on values, goals and priorities (all valuable discussions), but I enjoy hearing about what first pops in people's minds.

1. Spending time with my kids when they are home from college
2. Making plans with friends to share memories, and create a few more
