- Get More Sleep
- Find a Positive Support System
- Heal with your Mind
- Examine your (cancer) beliefs
- Evaluate your Self-Talk
- Make Positive Affirmations
- Reduce Toxic Stress
- Practice Visualization
- Understand the Message of Illness
- Live in the Moment
- Take Time to Play
- Laugh often
- Evaluate your Relationships
- Practice Self-Discipline
- See Life Through Spiritual Eyes
- Express Your Emotions
- Practice Forgiveness
- Exude Gratitude
- Love Unconditionally
- Hold on to Hope

Wow, great practices for everyday life. Thanks for posting this Linda.
Hi Catherine!
Glad you found it useful --
I'm also very taken with some of the stuff in the book "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.
Have you read it or heard of it?
Yes, I've read it and loved it. The one thing that stands out for me in that book was the Indonesian man who said "smile in your liver." I've been using that meditation technique for all the major organs in my body, especially my heart. Elizabeth Gilbert's talk on TED is also excellent. You'll find the link here:

Have a good one!
What a great list. Thank you, Linda for sharing it. I'd love to borrow your book to read about the other 20 "Things" too. Hugs! and see you soon.
I haven't seen that yet, Elizabeth - will watch it right now!
Paul - I don't have his book. The list of 30 was excerpted, and in a magazine someone sent me about cancer.
What a great reminder for everyone.

So many of the things are this list are "basic" - and yet, I didn't pay much attention until cancer came along to help me set my priorities straight.
I hope others here at MCC won't have to have that same jolting experience...
