If you were there...
Dear MCC friends:
I was so excited to attend the MCC Live! lunch Tues. 9/22 in RO after so long an absence. Thank you Terry and everyone else for the warm "welcome back" and the many elbow kisses and air hugs!
I'm especially glad I attended because the next day (yesterday) I had some bad news at the hospital - the blood work showed that my immune system, at least for the time being, has disappeared.
So, I am once again sequestered in my home, and even the hint of a cold could put me in critical condition. If things don't change quickly, they will not be able to give me the next round of chemo, as it would (literally) kill me.
Nevertheless, my spirits are high and I feel pretty good - just a bit tired.
You can read more about it (and leave me words of encouragement, stupid jokes, or whatever) at my Caring Bridge blog:

Thanks to the old friends who smiled as wide as the sky when they saw me walk in, and thanks to the new friends I made at the lunch - I hope to see you all again sooner rather than later!
