In a world full of opportunities...

I just sent this blast:

How do you know which ones are worth your efforts?

Is it just me or is your Opportunity Radar beeping off the hook too? It's amazing. Everywhere I turn are good ideas, passionate people and things that can make a difference right now! Are they coming to you as well? Are you open to receiving them if they are?

It's interesting, once we get past the fear that mandatory change can create, the world opens itself up widely. Maybe you're not in a place where you know what you want. If that's true, we have many excellent coaches on MCC. They would be happy to talk to you and assist. There is also a great workshop happening tomorrow and in October. It's called "Sending Out an S.O.S.- Success of Self". You may want to check it out here. Oh and BTW, it's FREE!!!

For those of you who know what you seek. Are you enrolling others in helping you find it? We are like a team here at MCC. We want to help one another succeed. That is far easier when you help us define what success is for you. Share a personal objective on the site. Come by and tell us what you seek in the ASK discussion board. Send a tweet using the name @motorcity in it. If we can help, know that we will. But understand that we most certainly can't, until you tell us how!

Speaking of Opportunities...

There is soooo much that we could be doing with MCC for the benefit of us all. We are interested in your thoughts on what you would like to participate in. Should we:

A. Provide more discount to things? With the #'s we have we could get a lot of savings on things we all use often.

B. Open a barter system? It might be a good time to move goods and services on trade

C. Have tighter face to face meetings- Perhaps you would like a little more structure with your MCC Spirit.

D. Offer more learning? We could do lots with webinars and face to face training sessions

E. Allow for greater promotion of members? It might mean more e-mail, but if that grows your life of business, isn't it worth it?

F. Do nothing. We like you just the way you are

G. Provide ways for members to make additional money

H. Any combination of the Above

I. Feel free to submit your own ideas. We are open to listening, errr I mean reading them!

A first crack at G above- AKA potential $$4U

I met Greg Everrette earlier this year. He is a fascinating man with lots of cool ideas that he is implementing. The first one is a vehicle theft deterrent product called The Auto Bolt (tm). It's a cool mechanical bolt that is inserted into your door jamb and makes the door virtually unopenable (unless deactivated).

Greg is willing to pay you money on sales that come from introductions you make. He is looking to meet:

Companies who install/sell vehicle security alarms

Companies who have work vans with lots of tools

Individuals who have or companies who sell those high end car stereos

Companies or individuals who sell/lease fleet vehicles

Businesses who carry expensive inventory and don't want to be ripped off

If you know people who fit one of the above descriptions, e-mail me at tbean@networkedinc.com and let's start the discussion.

I've been sitting with some of your questions regarding opportunities.  Here are some of my preferences:

1. I'd like to see more learning opportunities.  There are tons of people in the group that have expertise to teach other members.  For example, seminars to teach people to live healthier lifestyles, using the law of attraction to create what you want, successful marketing tips, growing community...etc.

2. I'd appreciate knowing the people in the group that are willing to barter.  Perhaps have a subgroup with those interested. I've bartered with people many times.

3. I love the idea of doing social things as a group, like your suggestion of a Phantom of the Opera outing. Could be picnics, bike rides, cider mills, Detroit River walks, etc.  Activities that can be free and family friendly.

And one of my biggest questions is, why has no one else contributed to this discussion?

Best,

Evening open houses would be a great way to network and have a great time. You could do one on the east side and one on the west side, or a central location.

MCC is an amazing group full of very kind and helpful people. If you need help, or have a need for someone else, just ask.

Have a wonderful day.

I am also surprized by the lack of response Catherine. My buest guess is that people don't think I'm serious in my inquiry. Maybe it's because they're expecting the changes to have been made as previously announced. They could have been, but I realized those changes would have reflected what I wanted to see. Maybe that's the same as what others desire. Maybe not. That's why I asked ;-)

I like the idea of doing some after hours open houses Lori. I know of two great places on the East side. I'll have to find some West side and Central love too. Thanks for the input.

Back to the game.

Terry

This is the first time I personally have seen this post and it's something I'm thinking strongly about. I don't have a solid answer yet but I will.

By the way, for anyone who is truly interested in changing their life, the S.O.S - Success of Self seminar is a great way to do it. I went last week and won a "Soul Reading" with Amanda Butler and she's a total sweetheart. It is truly worth your time to investigate for yourself. For someone like me who is in a total transition period of my life, I'm ALWAYS looking for information that can make me a better business owner, especially since I'm in the beginning stages of my business which is why I don't know if I can offer anything in terms of ideals at this time. I'll keep my eye on this post and maybe sometime soon, give my solid input if something just comes to me... and it will.

I just joined and never attended any networking events.   I am presently in my first stages for my business.  It would be interesting to attend have an annual picnic, or even an fall and winter picnic, go snowboarding at Kensington park during the winter, meet the  the Riverwalk ,etc.   I can not wait to attend my first networking event.

I always love to learn and every MCC seminar I have attend has been fantastic so just keep them coming.  Some new subjects whether webinars or lectures would be great.  The social events are also great.  It's fun to follow people's comments on the website and then to meet then in person.
