The Community House Presents:
"Successful Job Strategies"
a series of seminars designed to educate, inspire and motivate


The Community House, 380 South Bates Street, Birmingham, will be hosting a new series of four seminars entitled "Successful Job Strategies." The series kicks off on August 18 with Jim Craft, Vice President-Consultant in the Detroit office of Lee Hecht Harrison, who will present "New strategies for promoting yourself in this competitive job market." A nominal fee of $5 per person will be charged for each session. The first session will run from 6:30-8:00 pm, concluding with an hour of networking amongst attendees from 8-9:00 pm. Light refreshments and cash bar will be available.
Jim Craft is a Vice President-Consultant in the Detroit office of Lee Hecht Harrison, a career management firm with 240 offices around the world. His diverse background, which has included responsibilities for various aspects of the hiring process and career development from different perspectives, has helped him provide his clients with comprehensive advice on conducting an effective job search and holistically managing their career.
"Over the years, much has changed in job search strategies and we are thrilled that an expert such as Jim Craft will share his insights on promoting yourself in this very competitive job market," said Kathy Wilson chairman for Successful Job Strategies at The Community House.
"We feel The Community House is an open, inviting atmosphere to reach out to those in our community who have lost their jobs and are looking for a place to promote themselves, learn new job market strategies, find out who is hiring, develop partnerships, build new relationships and create a ‘We can DO IT atmosphere.'"

  • October 6 "Career Coach & Building Your Personal Image"


• October 27 "Networking with a Purpose"


 


During the four sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to listen to professional speakers who will motivate, encourage and teach innovating job techniques that will empower and enlighten, giving attendees the tools they need to move forward in the ever changing workplace.
