As we finalize our plans for next week we have more than 100 members on our sub committee, Blood, Sweat & Gear. That is AWESOME! Way to support Blightbusters, Operation Kid Equip and the Red Cross. *I think 116 members is good, but come on people, we can do a lot better. Get Involved. Join us. This isn't about Motor City Connect, this is about doing the right thing for our community*
What we need to know now is HOW you intend to support these charities?
Will you work the booth @ Buy Michigan Now week in Northville 9 am - 5 pm? (shifts are available). *We need people to show up in Northville at 8:00 a.m on Monday for the Kick off to this awesome week. There will be great energy and even better networking. Click HERE to RSVP*
Are you donating BLOOD? (In Northville on the 27th or another center during the week). *If so, please sign up for Northville HERE and remember to use the code MOTORCC anywhere you donate*
Are you SWEATing with us at Blightbusters? (Wednesday the 29th, Friday the 31st or Saturday Aug. 1st). *If so, get ready to get dirty. I can't tell you exactly what we are doing, but I can tell you it's work. It may be painting, sweeping, gardening, cleaning out a house so it can be ready to get demolished or doing some of the actual demolishing. To encourage those who are "in between opportunities, HR Professionals will be onsite (July 29 and 31) to give resume and interview guidance. This is NOT an interview. Dress in your worst clothes cuz you will be working*
Are you doing the Sandler training and call out session on Saturday Aug. 1st? *Bring a cell phone, a note pad, a pen and your charger. You will get great training and the opportunity to test it out while helping Blightbusters.
Are you donating GEAR to Operation KidEquip? (Cash/Check or supplies at sites around town). * The list of drop sites is HERE*
Please reply with WHAT you are doing and WHAT day you are doing it. This will help us plan for things like masks and lunches at Blightbusters, as well as job duties for those days. *Please go to our Calendar and RSVP!!!*
It also lets us know what we still need to do for Operation Kid Equip.
Finally, it tells us whether or not we are going to reach our goal of 200 pints of blood for the Red Cross.
Thank you for being a part of our group! Thank you for joining the campaign to make a change in the D!
Thank you for making us "Better Together"!
Be connected-

I tried to click on the Red Cross link and search for "Northville, MI," but it didn't find anything. I am indeed planning, though, to donate blood Monday in Northville. Is there a differetn link I should try?
