5 tips on how to use Motor City Connect to your full advantage

We want motorcityconnect.com to be a weekly (at least) check point for you. Not a place that you "have" to come, but one you want to check in on. Online networking allows you to create more relationships faster than face to face networking. Even better is that you can do it from any computer whenever you choose to do it. Many great relationships have been established by people who have never met eyeball to eyeball. Establishing relationships is one thing, strengthening them during face to face meetings is also important. Here is what I know for sure: the people you NEED to meet to grow your business are either on this site or connected to those who are. Are you leveraging the site properly? 1. Fill out your profile and add a picture (87% of profiles without pictures never get seen. It's very easy to upload a photo from the "My settings" tab). 2. Check the calendar for events that are of interest to you and show up to them. (Here is the calendar of Non MCC events that might be of interest) 3. Read the discussions that grab your attention and add value to them by replying: caution...don't try and sell your product or service in these posts as this will turn people off. 4. Tell us what your ask is (how we can help you)- Post that in your profile, the ASK discussion group and in your personal objective 5. Remember that this is a networking site and we use them to network, not sell.
