Microsoft SharePoint Architect
Senior level MOSS architect resource with strong understanding of both the development side in SharePoint, the underlying infrastructure and business applications such as Microsoft Project Server. Need to have experience with Microsoft Project Server deployments and integrating into a MOSS environment. Need to have training experience, both to technical administrators as well as end users.
This individual will work with senior management, stakeholders, various IT resources and business analysts to shape the SharePoint solutions. The resource will consult with clients on the design and organizational value of collaboration and business application solutions; helping identify the best use of SharePoint technology. Able to take existing business process workflows and incorporate them into the SharePoint environment as well as create complex workflows integrating Microsoft Office. Also needs to have experience with porting existing applications .NET into SharePoint from an architectural stand point.
Experience with MOSS 2007 and WSS v3.0, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, Enterprise Search, Windows Server, SQL Server, Performance Planning, Directory Services such as Active Directory, Server hardware, Microsoft Virtual Server or Microsoft Hyper-Visor. Microsoft Certification on Office SharePoint 2007 and/or Windows SharePoint Services (WSS).
Responsibilities include:
- Participation in projects that develop custom business solutions based on SharePoint. Technical activities will include the design of the overall system architecture, and overseeing the installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of robust Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 farms and Microsoft Project/Portfolio Server applications and training.
- Contributing subject matter expertise to full project lifecycles from inception through deployment, and maintenance.
- Solving business and technical problems which require an intimate knowledge of Microsoft development technologies including MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0, XML/XSLT, C#.NET, ASP.NET and .NET Framework.
- Working independently and in conjunction with a project team.
- Customer presentation and demonstrations skills.
- Provide training on systems and user interface.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of enterprise-scale, complex SharePoint applications - specifically Microsoft Project and Portfolio Server.
- Strong Microsoft focused background working with MOSS 2007, SPS 2003 including setup and configuration, site creation, programming, debugging and performance tuning and integration with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of other technologies such as XML/XSL/XSD, and Web Services, SDLC: SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative Waterfall, etc.
- Experience configuring security for SharePoint farms, extranet, and Internet applications;
- The ability to design and implement robust operations solutions for SharePoint backup and disaster recovery.
- Candidate should be able to demonstrate similar architectural level SharePoint accomplishments in his/her past.
- Candidate should have the organizational skills necessary to work in a multiple project setting.
- Excellent client interaction and presentation skills with a proven ability to mentor and lead others. Candidate should be able to demonstrate strong written (formal and technical) and meeting leadership skills (fluent English mandatory)

- Self Starter: Able to establish credibility and build on the relationship with the client.
- Technical writing skills.
- Mentor to the client; viewed as the expert and able to transfer knowledge to the client.
