Great Things Happening with Members
Hello,
Yesterday I received a very nice email from an elderly woman in California, who had visited my book site, www.behindtheoldface.com After a couple emails back and forth I asked where she heard of the book? She forwarded me a blog from the Alzheimer's Reading Room, entitled Great Places Inc. In that article, my blog, "Love Letters" was mentioned. http://www.alzheimersreadingroom.com/2009/07/great-places-inc.html
I am privileged and honored to be mentioned in the Alzheimer's Reading Room. It's the number one site on the Internet for information and insight into Alzheimer's disease(AD) and Dementia.
That experience I describe in the Love Letters blog was significant in the beginning of my life in senior care and advocacy, and is apparently stirring up emotions in readers. This experience is the basis for my book, Behind the Old Face. It is my hope and goal that causing caregivers and health professionals to think differently about the person they provide care to will improve the care they provide.
Please pass this on to anyone providing care to someone, or any health care professional you know. If I can change any thoughts and hearts through this, their care recipients and patients will benefit.
If you've had a great thing happen in your career or business it would be great to hear about it!
Thank you and have a great weekend!
Angil

The Alzheimer's Reading Room is the #1 online resource for information on Alzheimer's. My blog, "Love Letters", was mentioned on there June 10th, and yesterday the Alzheimer's Reading Room posted a blog that was taken from an email I had sent Bob Demarco, the author of the Alzheimer's Reading Room.
The "Love Letters" blog I had written was about an experience I had in a nursing home I worked in when i was 17 years old. This experience, and subsequent blog 31 years later has been making a significant impact on those reading it. I am getting emails and messages from readers who have experienced some strong emotions from this blog.
I am hoping to reach more people with this blog. It is changing thoughts and hearts and causing readers to provide better care. I would appreciate if you could pass it on to anyone who is a caregiver, either for a family member or as a professional.
