Learn how to be your GENIUS Self at this Friday's Meeting

One of the changes with MCC is that we are asking premium members to share their expertise with the group. Our first demonstration of this will be this Friday at Commerce breakfast with Kimberly Kassner. Kimberly will teach us new ways to learn and show us how everyone is a genius. The official dates of the Red, Green and Sledgehammer have been announced!

We are about to embark on one of the biggest initiatives this state has ever seen. We will partner with numerous community leaders and make a tremendously positive impact on our area the last week of July. There is a special subgroup set up for the RGS campaign, please join it here. While we will occasionally share information about this awesome project on the main board, the subgroup is where all the magic will happen. Please sign up! Buy Michigan Now Now has a Buy Michigan Week!

Congratulations to Lisa Diggs and the Buy Michigan Now campaign. Governor Granholm has declared the week of July 27 as Buy Michigan Now week. If you're near the Northville area be sure to check out the numerous education and connecting opportunities. You can find some details here and lot more coming.

That was a rough finish to an awesome season. Thank you Wings for making it interesting and allowing us to watch hockey in mid June. I think its ok that Stanley takes off for a little while. Its the only way he will be able to truly appreciate his home, right here in Hockeytown BABY! (Said in best Arthur P voice)

Collective X is now Groupsites

Motor City Connect is a community that meets both online and in person throughout the Detroit area. For over a year our online home has resided on software that Collective X created. You likely receive two e-mails from them a week that give group status updates. Those messages will now be branded with their new company name, Groupsites. I like the change. It speaks more to what they do and embodies who they are.

I am really excited to be a part of Motor City Connect. Great things are coming our way. Get ready to feel great about Detroit, our region and the State of Michigan!!
