Seeking nominees for the ATHENA Award
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 ATHENA Award. This annual event honors 20-30 nominees who actively assist women in realizing their full leadership potential; exemplify excellence and initiative; and contribute to the community through volunteerism or other good works.
The ATHENA Award luncheon is presented by the Macomb Foundation and its sister organization the Macomb County Chamber. All nominees will be recognized at a beautiful luncheon on Friday, April 24 at 11:30 am at the Ukrainian Cultural Center located in Warren.

The deadline on the form says it's due by 2/29/09, I assume it has been extended. When is the new deadline? Is this just for women who live and/or work in Macomb County? Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, that was a preliminary deadline. Nominee names are due by 3/27 and the final forms are due the following week on 4/3.
The nominee does not have to live or work in Macomb. However, their impact should include Macomb County. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
