An Attitude of Gratitude

As entreprenuers, managers and salespeople do we excercise the power of WE by recognizing the efforts of the people who support us? Do we recognize the work support staff do to insulate us from the the everyday issues of our clients so we can persue new opportunities with an uncluttered mind? Maybe we should all adopt an "Attitude of Gratitude".

Great reminder Duane of a real basic life lesson. It would be much easier to complain about something not getting done rather than actually thanking someone for a job well done amidst all the other negativity we keep hearing. Being thankful has the power to transform our "attitude" as you point out. Economics is based to a large degree on "positive attitude" which on the micro level (each and every one of us) decides a positive action or a negative action. Cumulative positive action is what will lead us all (macro level) out of this current economic state. Even if it takes a while to do it, we'll all be a lot happier as persons of gratitude as will those around us even if current conditions persist for a while longer. Thanks for the Monday words of wisdom.
I keep a journal of everything I'm grateful for. When some event tries to mess with my attitude I open the journal and read. It is powerful. Duane you are on the mark on a Monday. Thanks.
Remember Happiness is a choice. Choose well.
Thanks Greg and Rick.
Like Greg, I keep a gratitude journal, and flip through it at least once a week - or several times a day, if I need to!
We take so much for granted! When we express gratitude for everything - every kind word, every dollar in our pocket, every glorious sunrise - we build the world (and ourselves) up.
At every moment, we can choose - we can choose to be happy, or we can choose to be miserable. What sane person would choose misery?
So, Thank You, Duane, for yet another inspiring post. And Thank You, Rick and Greg for your insight and positive approach. You have brightened my day!
Linda,
Hopefully it warmed your day too. It was -14 in Ann Arbor when I left the house this AM. I'm thankful for every molecule of that -14 oxygen though!
In gratitude!
Rick
Extra-chilly here in Rochester, too, Rick! I'm grateful for the cold - it certainly wakes me up, and makes me think about how lovely it will be when spring arrives.

I'm with you, Linda.
Spring is lookin' mighty good after the past few months here in Michigan.
Looking forward to checking out the link you've provided.
I needed the chill to wake me up also. I normally get up at 7:00am but every other Thursday we have a small group of IT professionals that meet at CTS to explore ways of improving our prospects. We meet at 8:00am so the 5:30 alarm was a rude awakening. Can't wait for Spring though. We've had over 60" of snow in White Lake this season.
