I got to learn about Jeff Kingzett tonite
We had a little "soiree" (or "tweetup") downtown at the office tonite, and recorded (for fun) some of the conversations we had.
Well, I gotta tell you one stood out for me (and not just the one where I was beaten by Laurie Slade's Fifth Grader in trivia contest) - Beverly Cornell had a chat with Jeff Kingzett.
Normally, I have to be honest, I'm a little shy of financial advisers. But I like what he does - it's different. It's all about socially responsible investing, and putting money into companies that align with the causes you believe in. With all of this talk about "spending at home" and "spending local," I thought this discussion apropos. If you don't care about investing in socially responsibly companies and your only focus is the dollar, this conversation may not be for you.
Most of the other conversations were less formal, but this one is a bit more so with an introduction. If there's any Tweetup noise in the background I do apologize, but it's very audible.
p.s. - Although we produce podcasts professionally, we have not and never have been paid by Jeff or anyone with him or affiliated with him. If you were there tonite, you got recorded if you wanted. :-)

This was a fun event. Thanks Jeremiah and Beverly.
Jeff - you rock.
Jeremiah and Beverly - thanks for making this available to everyone here - a great way to get to know MCC members from a different perspective.
Nice to hear some kudos about Jeff. He's a classy guy and we discovered through MCC that we went to College together and even had some of the same professors at or around the same time. Keep putting out that good stuff Jeff! In a time when the financial industry is "on trial" you can be a beacon of hope!
