Accounting Team Leader/Manager

Billhighway, a very hip web-based financial service company in Troy, MI has an immediate opening for a full-time Accounting Team Leader/Manager for our Accounting Department. Billhighway is growing fast and we need an energetic leader with a minimum of 6 years experience in a Lead Accounting role.

Responsibilities include managing accounting staff, general accounting issues corporate/clients and client's reconciliations. Other responsibilities include developing new team members as well as the department.

The successful candidate must have experience in the following:

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and take responsibility for the department and its goals
  


• Good project management/team leadership capabilities
  


• Understand what TEAM TEAM TEAM means
  


• Strong verbal communication skills
  


• Demonstrated ability to employ new ideas, concepts, and methods


• Superior computer skills including navigating the web, web-based technologies, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, etc.
  


• Proficient writing skills and grammar
  


• Ability to document processes and procedures
  


• Familiar with being "plugged in" (i.e. with laptop and PDA)

Qualifications:

• Experience with managing Accounting activities.


• Experience managing other general office activities, HR, etc.


• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues.


• A quick learner with a do "whatever it takes" attitude and strong desire to be a key contributor towards helping a growing company reach its goals.


• 6 years acting as a key level within and accounting department within a professional environment.

The following experience is a plus:

• Familiarity with web-based software


• Experience with Web based financial systems


• Managing multi-company financial statements.
