Number of Pounds: 3


Main culprit: Pumpkin Cheesecake


Best Gift:  for the family - Wii Fit - got me up of my rear end to get rid of that pumpkin cheescake!


Best Laugh:  Watching my son Chris - 13 - do the hula hoop aerobic activity on Wii fit! Laughed until I cried!


Missed the most - besides my mom, the Tortiere (French Canadian meat pie) and French Onion Soup on Christmas Eve.


Liked the best - the way the table looked right before dinner.


Disliked the most: the way the kitchen looked right after Christmas Dinner Laughing


Best Bite: The salmon, asparagus, tomato eggs benedict for Christmas morning breakfast. Yep, with homemade hollandaise sauce!


Preliminary New Year's resolution: less coffee, more water!

Main culprit:not applicable


Best Gift: My brother flying in from New York City


Best Laugh: The two-hour burp fest after my brother chugged two bottles of Vernors


Missed the most -my pillow


Liked the best - The look on my granddaughter's face as she passed out the gifts she picked out at the dollar store


Disliked the most: I'll take the 5th on this one...


Best Bite: the roasted parsnip & carrots we had with Christmas dinner


Preliminary New Year's resolution:Avoid resolutions altogether Laughing

Main culprit: Not exercising


Best Gift:  Flip Mino HD


Best Laugh:  Would have to be when my neighbor (Steve) kissed my husband on the cheek.


Missed the most - My Friends from Canada who are my surrogate extended family


Liked the best - Watching my kids


Disliked the most: that the house wasn't decorated, and the tree didn't go up until 2 days before xmas


Best Bite: Would have the be the little spring roll hors d'oeuvres


Preliminary New Year's resolution: to set realistic goals for the new year that provide balance to all areas of my life. (and to get organized for next xmas earlier!)

Louise - judging by the talk of tortiere, you are a fellow Canadian!  When we lived in Wasaga Beach my French Canadian neighbor always made us tortiere at Christmas.  Once we had homemade the store bought just didn't cut it anymore!  Also while we lived there we'd have a full house of guests and go snowmobiling through the woods on New Years Eve - I miss that every year too!

Main culprit: my love of cooking


Best Gift:  having my family together Christmas morning. It was totally spontaneous.


Best Laugh: listening to my 2 year old grandchild's reasoning.


Missed the most - my brother and my dad


Liked the best - the happy laugher of all the kids, playing games around the table. 


Disliked the most: cleaning the house after everyone leftLaughing


Best Bite: Making my puff pancake for Xmas breakfast.


Preliminary New Year's resolution: focus on me and my health. more exercising.
