MCC Poll: Snow Day Fun

I love building snow forts. My wife likes cuddling and hot cocoa with baby marshmallows (which is a fine après-snowfort activity).

What is your favorite fun activity on a snow day?

We just did the 'hood on cross-country skis.  Beautiful white stuff and brisk breezes...what the holidays are about.

Well, when my kids were at home it was hot cocoa and board games in front of the fireplace.  Today, I am finishing up those last minute things around my place and emailing clients!  Despite the weather, there are those people with Real Estate questions - so I am glad that my phone is ringing - the beauty of modern technology!

Nothing like a little snow and some sore muscels to get people to thinking about their Health Insurance.  Have helped several today save some money>

Catching up on chores at home - really starting to look and feel like Christmas.  Braved the roads to pick up a friend for my 13 yr old!

I'm getting a jump on my Christmas Cooking.  Pesto Cheesecake, Cannelli Bean, Salad and Roasted Butternut Squash Soup.... did I mention I'm Single?Cool

I work from home but have played hooky this afternoon and am wrapping presents while my kids are outside packing down the hill for snowboarding.

Merry Christmas everyone!

To funny Richard. Well done. Everyone loves some savings at this time of year.

I am about to go sledding. So far today I have shoveled the drive, talked to a bunch of folks (online and off) driven to a meeting in Troy (it was a great meeting) helped someone get their car unstuck and just overall had a great day.

I love to ski, but I really want to learn how to snowboard. I think this year is the year. Anyone want to join me?

Great conversation Charlie. I love me some snow.

I forgot, I actually earned a bottle of wine for pushing the neighbor lady back into her drive.  She actually thought she was keeping her Dr. Apt.  today.  She said it only looked like 4 inches.  It was more like 14 inches and my snow blower could hardly handle it.

Playing in the snow- our  boys (who are 25! and home for the holiday) took the SUV out to go "drifting".

Have a wonderful holiday!

I've been doing a little work, clearing out some email, and watching the fire with my sweetie!  (Yes, it's back on!)  It's a beautiful day to look outside and not BE outside!  Enjoy whatever you are all doing. From all the email I'm seeing, it seems that's the #1 activity so far!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I finished my Christmas cookie baking - I made fudge, magic cookie bars and walnut tarts today.  All I have to do now is wrap the presents and bake my oh-so-decadent mocha cake for Christmas eve desert.

Add my vote to the hot cocoa (you have to dunk buttered white toast into it though) and the disapearring snowballs.  I would also like to add in the chance to wear PJs to the 'office'.

There's no such thing as bad weather - just inappropriate clothing choices.<\p>

Delight in the fresh fallen snow. Stomp in puddles. Bask in the warm sun.<\p>

Make today your perfect day.<\p>

I made it to the our holiday party. Stuffed myself with good food. Now the fun begins.

It has been so much fun seeing what others do on these wonderful snow filled days.  I feel so sorry for those who didn't take the day off and play.  Life is too short to give up playing.  I played hooky today and am glad I did.
