I love building snow forts. My wife likes cuddling and hot cocoa with baby marshmallows (which is a fine après-snowfort activity).
What is your favorite fun activity on a snow day?

I love just watching it come down when it's a really big storm like today.
I also like going out and throwing snowballs for the dogs. They never can figure out where the balls go when they land!
Later on, we'll build a fire . . . (cue the music)
At core3 we've been pushing people out of the snow. We can fix more than just computers!...
I went out to scrape the snow off my car. Took one look and turned around and went back inside to get my snow shovel. I literally had to shovel the snow off my car. I have to get out though, it's our company holiday party tonight. I have my priorities in order. Party! Party! Party!
After both of my appointments cancelled because of this (little) snow storm. I braved my way into work, My front wheel drive vehicle cutting thru the snow like a plow. I then spent the next 2 hours reworking my Monday and Tues to reschedule my cancelled appointments from today. Now I think I am the only person at work because the phones are dead. Happy Friday
Last minute calls to prospects and clients regarding our February issue Bridal Directory in Hour Detroit magazine. Attending our company holiday lunch, music, food and bingo will be played... Enjoying the snow. Took pictures of the trees outside my home.
Enjoy the holidays, however you celebrate.
I am thankful for all my family, friends, co workers and fellow networkers. Here's to a happy and prosperous 2009.

I spent an hour getting to work (normally it's 20 minutes). After being at work 2 hours, they sent us home. I was fortunate to get behind a plow truck headed north on Crooks Road, so the drive home was only 35 minutes.
My children were so excited that I joined them for lunch today. I have some more work to do, but I'll be taking a mid-afternoon "break" to blow out the driveway, toss my kids in the snow bank a few times, then come back in to finish my work.
And, read what everyone else at MCC is doing!
I got up bright and early this morning and shoveled snow, now you can't tell that I did anything.
I work from home most days, so I really don't have an excuss to not be working.
I do really enjoy watching my dogs try to leap through the snow, even though it is taller than they are.
I am enjoying one of the pros of starting my own business...sitting snug at home in my pj's writing a business plan. Only venturing outside later to build a "baby snowman", my 4-year-old's request.
I am one of those lucky ones, my office is here at home. (Sometimes at Insights) I could work catching up on much needed paper work, but I love Cleo's idea of throwing snowballs for the dog. Kodie Lee will just go nuts. I have a better idea. It's cold out there, my husband just went to pick up our grandson, I'll let him toss snowballs for the puppy.
All you who are out there driving today, please be careful and watch out for those who are not careful.
Merry

I'm with Karly. It's been fun watching the dogs play in the snow. During my short breaks from getting work done, of course.
Snow forts ROCK Charlie. I once spent the night in an igloo in the backyard. What fun.
Thus far I have spent some time re-distributing snow in my and my neighbors drives, dropping snow pants/boots/goggles off to my son so that he can have a blast, dodging those pesky 'other' drivers on the way into the office. I look forward to an early departure and a bit of play myself later. In my opinion, a great way to start the weekend. Might just have to get the board out tomorrow.
I'm baking cookies for Charlie. The college closing has given me time to work on jobs for personal clients. So far, I've completed the layout on a gatefold package and labels for a double vinyl album release. Now I'm working on a banner ad for a fundraiser. I wish the snow was sticking better... would make for better photo ops. Be safe!FINALLY, I'm decorating the tree, while supervising my 18 year old to get out and SHOVEL, etc. I'm just starting to get the holiday spirit--this snow has helped. :)
My kids (ages 5 and 8) and I have been out playing in the snow... well, they've been playing, I've been shoveling. We won't be going anywhere today, and I rather enjoy being snowed in!
