I wanted to share a recent article in this month's Corp Magazine. Thought this was a great article, with quotes from academia, regarding how there is a shift in thought from advertising-oriented marketing to PR.
Look forward to your feedback. If you want to discuss further, please e-mail me at jbrown@publiccitypr.net.

Thank you for sharing the nice piece of article.
Its true the if the internet is leveraged right the non traditional PR methods can be the most effective. But some times it is sad to see a lot of business professionals mis understand and mis-apply the terms of non traditional PR methods including social media marketing.
One important thing I noticed that the article emphasized is on the fact "Watch the blogosphere to see who picks up materials".
It is so imperative that the initiation of a blog and adding your "ink" to it alone is not the way to be successful. There are several strategical things that I do/suggest for my client and I personally believe people should do.
That is why I am hoping to set up a free session as requested by Lin Klassen soon to share some strategies that will help people.
I think some one like you with your background will be very valuable if you wouldn't mind sharing your expert tips. I will get in touch with you offline after thanks giving and discuss.
Thank you again for sharing this article .
I like the article, however, taking off my "moderator" hat and putting on my "participant" hat, I have an issue to discuss, and I see it happen quite a bit around here.
When posting in a community, the idea is that we all discuss to share information. You may, in fact, have opinions that disagree with you or the article posted. That's OK. By directing discussion to your email, you're cutting off that collaborative discussion and group benefit.
I think, and it's been my experience of being on discussion forums for probably 15 years, that discussion of links and articles should happen out in the open. We won't always agree, but we'll get to know eachother better and learn different viewpoints and learn more from others.
