"212" The extra degree

I read about an interesting concept today and decided to share it. At 211 degrees water is very hot. At 212 degrees it boils. One degree turns water from a very hot substance to one with the power to move a locomotive.

One degree or one step, it does not matter. What separates the superstars from the average is that one degree of extra effort they put in to make the deal boil.

That is a great point... I am trying to do that to get into Eprize.  They don't seem to want to listen... I got one person to listen but I am NOT good with patience so I am trying to make sure everyone in that place knows my name.  They want to send me to a job bank and even though my resume is in there I am not sure it has the correct 15-20 words to seperate myself from the bunch.

I am trying to get more then just one person to come to my side.  SO far the one is doing good.  But I want more then one person to come to my side.  I am taking the extra effort and trying to say the right things.

You should get extra points for determination and enthusiasm Jaimie. Keep trying it will pay off.

An example from my own recent experience. I've been calling on this prospect for almost a year now. One of my manufacturers called last week and said he was coming in Tuesday and could I get an appointment for him. Knowing how the law of persistance pays off I decided to call this very frustrating prospect first. Not to my surprise because I believe in the law of persistance he said come in.

When we arrived he in jest said what no T-Shirt or coffee mugs. Which led my manufacturers rep to say what are we doing here? My prospect said he got tired of me calling. I wore him down. To make a long story short I'm putting in a trial system for him next week with the provision that if it works a presented he will keep it. I can count on that money before Christmas because my stuff works!

Persistance and the knowlege that every step puts you closer to your goal and your high level of enthusiasm will serve you well in life Jamie. Good luck!

Good luck to you...

I took Terry's advice yet again.  I wasn't going to be that persistant but you know... If everyone is trying to get into Eprize then I need to make myself stand out.  I didn't get invited for a regular interview.  So I am contacting people on all bases and going out of my way to spruce up their vision statement by doing more research.  I mean that is what Linked In is for right?  I know how the email system works so if I am nice and introduce myself properly I should get somewhere.

1/12 informational interviews gets hired.  So he has my resume electronically and now I have sent it to him via standard mail too.  Plus, I am contacting everyone possible in every State almost that they are.  I am going to be going like gang busters!!!

I refuse to be a number in a job bank especially when I know NOT all the jobs that are available are posted.
