Ethernet unidentified network?

Hello everyone,
My internet was working perfectly one minute then the next it says Ethernet unidentified network. I ran a diagnoses and it says ethernet doesn't have a valid ip configuration. And I have no idea how to fix this. I have turned off and on modem and computer and even reset them. Nothing.
Don't understand why this happened when my internet has been working perfectly.
Please help.!!

This is my problem with the word "networking". As it applies to this forum, Networking best practices is all about business networking...getting better connected and stuff.
There is a subgroup here in Motor City Connect called MCC Tech. You may be wise to post your questions there. Either that or you may get a bunch of advice from people who know less about technology than you do. LOL
If you look at the main menu bar in orange across the top, you will see one item labeled subgroup.
