Happy Birthday MCC - You Don't Look a Day Over 7.5

I just sent this blast:

Can't believe that 10 years ago today I opened a little yahoo group and named in Motor City Connect. We were running an ad-hoc networking group at the time called "The Effective Networking Group". That group met every 3-5 weeks at some random place. If you were on the e-mail list, you got to come. If a friend invited you, you got to come. Otherwise...you wouldn't have known about it.

The key driver behind starting the yahoo! group was realizing that people needed to (and now could because of the Internet) network in real time. Whenever an "ASK" came up, they could post on the group and get the contact or information they needed. It was pretty cool.

I've actually already detailed the HISTORY OF MCC (This is message 3 of 4...it links to the 2 before it) and you can click that link to check it out.

I'm more interested in the future of MCC. I've got a couple of very interesting ideas that I'm not quite ready to share...timing is everything. I am always curious as to who's interested in learning about them. E-mail me if you'd like to be "in the know". 

Also, would be great if you wanted to shoot a quick video or write a thought or two about what Motor City Connect has meant to you. You can do that by hitting reply or heading over to our Facebook Group.
