This Wednesday: Word of Mouth Networking ?
Have you ever wondered why an "average happy client" talks a lot and comes across as an "unhappy" client to others while a happy client don't talk about your service very much ?
A good customer service can reduce the negative word of mouth but what can we do to increase the positive word of mouth? Few ideas that I have read from several places in the past:
Farm and not hunt:
Building your business through word-of-mouth is about cultivating relationships with people who get to know you and trust you.
One of the most important things I've learned in the past years is "It's not just what you know, or who you know, it's actually how well you know them that counts".
Truly care for your clients and provide quality solutions. These are a base to build the confidence.
Complimentary Contacts:
Develop and expand a symbiotic and not competitive contact web. This way you expand the number of people who will do "word of mouth" marketing for you.
For example: Wedding planner, DJ, Photographer, Videographer and a Web/Print promotional material people . They can all work with and refer each other easily.
Diversify your networks:
Be visible with the right identity and be active in the community by participating in various networking groups and/or professional associations.
One of DotSign's principles is to provide high visibility to our client but you need to have an effective identity before planning on visiblity because having a bad identity and being visible had negative effects.
[Sorry guys I didn't intend for this blatant poster of DotSign, I usually try to avoid it. It's the best visual representation I have for now - Its funny too and it earned us an award as well - Enjoy !! ]
