Speaking of good things....
Some other great things are happening in and around the Canton/Westland area:
1)Marimba Auto expanding & relocating to Canton (170 jobs)
2)Danotek expanding & relocating to Plymouth (353 jobs)
3)Aisin Group expanding in Plymouth (301 jobs)
4)Ricardo, Inc establishing HQ in Van Buren (106 jobs)
These are just 4 big announcements..there's a few others in Novi,
Farmington Hills and a slew of them in Troy (Kelly Services being one
of the largest). As far as what kind of jobs, they vary, direct and
indirect, automotive and non-automotive. Anything is positive at
this point.
Nevertheless, we can take advantage of these announcements on few
fronts:
1)Home values in Canton not dropping so dramatically and actually
sustaining current values or the promise of being one of the top
regions increasing in value once the state economically picks up
(which it will inshaallah)
2)Marketing directly to those companies if you are having a difficult
time selling your home. Think outside the box and try this method -
it has worked for people. Many companies have a community relations
department and/or something similar.
3)Retail development continuing in Canton making it one of the top
places in the state to live.
4)Business opportunities for our entrepreneurs and/or self-employed
businesses. More business means more people and more $$ for you.
